The class way to do things is by keeping quiet and going about your business plan without blabbing it to all and sundry.

He has made a rod for his own back and City by giving the world media a stick to hit us with if it all goes tits up.

He also has had a right go at Bobby in the public domain, double standards as far as I can see. Ferran did NOT have to air our dirty washing in public but he chose to do so.

Bobby up to this moment has chosen to keep his council and I respect him for that.

Bobby will have signed a non disclosure agreement
Or he just has a bit of class and doesnt want to shit stir...

Maybe, however,i'd think someone with such class would wait until the end of the season, and not before the final home game, which could be seen as mischiefmaking, before placing the fans 'thankyou' message.

He's got such a positive vision for the club , it's frightening !

He may well have a point about Mancini not being the right manager to take us further in the game , and if the likely new manager , Manuel Pellegrini , 'consistently' wins trophies it will be difficult to argue with him ..... although , in fairness to Robero Mancini , he may well have built on his initial success here given time.

I'm disregarding the bit about 'Pep' coming here in years to come , as that's merely a distinct possibility ... and not something that we can actually depend on at this point in time.

But Sorianos vision for the club is certainly exciting , to say the least .... and whilst it will be difficult for ANY club to truly make the global mark that clubs like United , Barcelona and Real Madrid have , if City could reach anywhere near that type of worldwide impact it would be an outstanding achievement .....

there is absolutely no doubt that this club is growing by the day , and further success , both on and off the pitch , can only make it even stronger.

Im not saying you are wrong but why do you think that he would leave? He seems extremely happy there and despite their champs league exity this year they are still the best footballing team int he word for me

The reason I think he could leave in a nutshell, is that his relationship with Barca the club isn't as simple, smooth, and happy as is made out. He was developed and given the footballing chances he needed under Laporta, Begiristain, and Guardiola. Those three men along with Marc Ingla and Ferran were crucial in Messi's development at Barca and they're all gone. More importantly, the politics involved meant that the family Barca's current squad grew up with off the field, have all been replaced in the last two and half years with a whole new regime. This regime is currently desperately trying to sign Neymar. A player who in my very humble opinion cannot operate in the same team as Messi.

Personally I think City will sign Messi after the world cup next summer.

I dont get why the club needs to keep justifying its decision by talking down the former manager. That justification will only come through performances and results, not spin and the blame game.

NDA's or not, it's unneccesary and we need more of the looking forward from the rest of the interview and less of the looking back .

There is always one......

Some just refuse to accept he`s gone.As an inner myself,we have to move on,irrespective of how we see things from the outside.
The new manager will certainly get my backing as I support MCFC and not the Manager. All those who decided to have a pop at "the Barca Duo" must be eating humble pie after the last 48 hours of superb positive media attention.
I`ve said it before so I aint going to apologise "action speaks louder than words",something which should convince even the most blinkered Blue Eye,that we are in the more than capable hands of HH,Khaldoon,Soriano and the rest of the Board.

Hmmmmm...cheers for that

If he did become available on the market, at least we probably wouldnt have to compete with Real Madrid for him as I cannt imagine BArca selling anyone to them...could be wrong though

I guess we would be in competition fr him with the likes of PSG, Monacco, Chelski, Utd and some of the crazy Russian teams with money???

Top CEO in "saying all the right things" shock!

Great read - FS hit's all the right notes and it's certainly an encouraging and exciting vision. It could give others ammunition if certain targets and aims aren't achieved - but let's hope they will be.

Have you read the text ? He answers direct questions and is very complimentary towards Roberto.

I have read it, and I dont think a lot of what he said serves any purpose whatsoever.

He answered the question a few days ago much better.

Problem is they wouldn't sell us a virus under the present regime, and one which will be there for 3/4 more years- soriano and cheeky pissed a good few people off, the only way would if Lionel wanted to hand in a transfer request, you see it? No way Jose (see what I did there)!
