Talking of shithole, I saw the Angelic Upstarts at oddys club in Oldham, and the bogs were 3" deep in piss. Good job I had my 16 hole docs on!

First gig was Half Man Half Biscuit, June 1986, International 1
Swiftly followed by the Smiths, Salford University, July 1986. Saw them twice more that year, think the next band I saw was the Ramones at International 2 in late '87, then the Bunnymen / Primitives, Free Trade Hall, early '88.

Excellent Russell Hastings ? Is as good as Weller and they play a good set pretty green ,etc and the more well known stuff
