First job,first wage.

Mine was as in-house security in my early 20s, at a store in Fallowfield.

Got a £100 a week and some s-extra benefits from the pretty redhead supervisor in her office and home visits!!
Did she possess one of those scrumptious arses you used to delight us with?

Coop Bank August 1968. £455 pa (included extra £50 for passing my A levels). Paid weekly - first pay packet after Tax and NI stamp £7/0/3d. Gave my mum and dad £3pw for digs, and still had enough left for weekly rail fare (£1), watching City and getting pissed most nights.

Luxury.

people need to say the year too!.

1st job was a saturday job in Boots as a couple of quid an hour when I was 13, then in 95 was my 1st proper full time job testing games for Sony on £8kpa
How did you get a job in Boots as a 13 year old!? Was that even allowed then? I remember being on the payroll at 15 years old but as a 13 year old bingo round, paper round and car washing was as good as it got

First job was a paper round 1980 £1.50 a week then 1986 worked on the markets earning £10 a day.

Carefree days when you could have 6 pints and a chippy tea for under a £5

I did a weeks work placement there and they offered me the job. I think i was on the cusp of the legal age.
