Five years that's all we got.

2013 Nowt
2014 League and League Cup
2015 Nowt
2016 LC
2017 unfinished but not a League

So 1 League, 2 League Cups and maybe 1 FA cup. Don't get me wrong it is not bad but hardly the domination that Vincent was talking up after the first league win and probably not what Khaldoun had in mind either.

Most successful club in the time frame? Not if Chelsea win the league this year.

I was not suggesting that the whole thing had been a disaster merely a seriously missed opportunity.

I doubt it gets much better than this. This isn't Germany. England may never again be truly dominated by one club.

Two words probebly explain why we haven't dominated domestically,Champions League,in my opinion if we didn't have that we would have had another couple of league titles, just looking at Chelsea this year shows this,we have to spread ourselves so thin fighting on all fronts we end up coming away with not a lot to show for the season.
I'd agree with .

Since the GPC ruled the roost there have been 3 different clubs winning the title , the Sky 4 has been dismantled and the league is far more competitive , even clubs like Everton , Southampton can spend £20m - £30m on players , (even the Rags have spent over £300m in 3 seasons and they can't get near the top 4) , to expect us to win the league every other year is now unrealistic. No doubt our player recruitment has been dire in the past , but hopefully Pep will spend the summer transfer budget wisely , and as long as we are challenging for the title and taking it to the wire i will be happy , and not like the last two seasons when we will be probably at least 12 - 14 points off the pace , and that certainly is'nt good enough. If anybody latched on to MCFC to bask in reflection of a full trophy cabinet , then they have'nt heard of "typical city" , we do win some but f*cking hell its hard work a times.

Maybe we didn't go on to dominate the league back to back but who has in the last 5 years? Nobody and to many people that's a good thing for the league.

There hasn't been a dominant team in the PL since the decline of Rags, it's become far more competitive and I think that's a reason why English clubs started to decline in the CL it coincided with the breakup of the old Sky4.

Is this thread actually for real? We were getting beat by bury and Stockport a few winters ago, madness!

2013-Runners up
2014-Champions and League Cup
2015-Runners up
2016-4th and League Cup
2017-Possible Runners up and FA Cup

There you go, glass half full.

Hazard decided to go to Chelsea after they won the Champions League. Simple as that. They also agreed to buy his brother as part of the deal.

De Rossi was never really committed, and they wanted £40m.

We told Arsenal we were only prepared to go to £15m for a player in his final year, so Van Pussy decided to listen to the little boy inside. Arsenal played a blinder and used our name to get over £20m. Mancini stupidly rejected the interest from PSG, despite Mario wanting to leave.

Then there's the small matter of FFP. We were never really in a position to blow people out of the water as soon as Sergio's moment hit the back of the net.

All smoke and mirrors, creative deals for sub-standard replacements and poor scouting.

IMO, we should have two more Premier League title wins to our name, and our golden generation were a few yards away from really taking advantage of United and Chelsea's drop off.
