Fixtures Calendar - 2022/23

They haven’t given a date for Jan fixtures, were supposed to be together with Dec ones … so now no one knows … I just put it there as an expected date really, will probably end up moving it forward every week when they don’t announce anything till middle of World Cup probably.

It was November 7th last season so there really is no excuse not to sort it this week.

Yes but we won't know about replay or not till like a week before the actual mid-week so can't arrange a fixture of that magnitude on three days notice ... I think they will simply have to scrap all FA Cup replays now and then slot all the fixtures that got postponed after the death of the Queen in one midweek and use the second midweek for other postponed fixtures, that we we get both Spurs and Arsenal games played in Jan and Feb ... otherwise they go on to April earliest (and who is to say we won't have a few more postponed by then anyway due to say Carabao Cup final or later rounds of the FA Cup.

Nopes, they're in Europa R 32 and R16 so both midweeks booked for them ... plus need special permission from UEFA to hold domestic games at the same time as European games going on ... not gonna happen for one reason or the other.

They’re not in the play off round as they finished group winners. Their next European game isn’t until March. I’m sure with all the other issues they might make it an early kick off to avoid clashing with CL games. It’s happened before

Uefa would have some cheek to say we couldnt play it then after we were postponed to keep the 'integrity' of their second rate competition looks nailed on to be 14/15 to me assuming they dont get rid of fa cup replays.

The thought of arsenal, forest, Leipzig and Bournemouth away in 2 weeks is frightening to the Bank account

All Third and Fourth round ties have replays, there's an argument for scrapping them to cover the postponed games although nothing confirmed.

Ah ok, I thought I’d read only some 3rd & 4th round games would be eligible to have replays, depending on who the two teams were, and their other commitments.

That was the rumour around the time of the queens death, dont' think it was ever confirmed though. Makes sense. Although I can see certain clubs moaning if it meant City having to play 1 less game.
 
I think they held back announcing January fixtures to wait for this CL R16 draw, and now the CL fixtures finalized as well ... PL should be able to sort their own weekends around them without having to have those caveats that if CL is played Wed, this Sat game will move to Sun or vice versa for Tue ... now they have clarity over who is where and they should simply announce not only Jan TV picks but also reschedule the postponed games ... the two mid weeks of 17/18 Jan and 7/8 Feb currently earmarked for FA Cup R3 and R4 replays simply have to be the dates to slot them in ...

For us that first one is between United (A) and Wolves (H) ... so possibly Spurs (H) goes in there, and then next slot for Arsenal (A) would be between Villa (H) and Forest (A) ... we'll find out soon I think, should be before the end of this week really.
 
Would imagine there's a chance we play Arsenal on or around Valentine's Day. Imagine we'll have a game that week anyway.
