Fixtures Calendar - 2023/24

Any word on when the Super Cup tickets will go on sale?
I have already booked my travel.
(Can understand that TO staff may well be on holiday).

Community Shield will go on sale first ... still a couple of weeks away that. Expect them both in first week (or dare I say second week) of July.
 
Has anyone got any ideas when the TV games for week 2 (Weekend 19-20 August) will be selected.

We are due to be on holiday in Brittany from Monday 21 August. I want to finalise the transport arrangements. The will probably a flight to CDG and the train to St Nazaire on the Monday. If the match is on Saturday, we could fly from Manchester. I would like to attend the Newcastle match, but this will probably not be possible if the match is switched to the Sunday for TV.

Supposed to be 5 July, though as we know, it often ends up being later.

7th July actually (but PL has not given dates this time) ... that 5th July people are quoting is by looking at wrong news release (which was for last season), and OSC/Kevin Parker sent out that old one by simply changing year on them to all 353 OSC branches so perhaps the confusion from there.

I can see burnley and newcastle getting something from us in first two games. Newcastle game especially depends on how bad Pep wants that super cup

Just looking through fixture calendar for next season out of boredom, the Carabao quarter final dates are down as Tue 19th/Wed 20th December but we will obviously be in Saudi for the Club world cup. If we get to that stage in carabao would it become a scenario like Liverpool couple of years back having to play the young lads?

Yes so we be hoping to get a lower league team at home

If we are in it and opposition is another PL team, the mid-week of 2/3 Jan is available for that to be played!

I see that yea nice one mate. If its not a prem team though i think i may be right as all efl teams play on the Mon that week

That’s what I was thinking depends what means more to the club. With having a small squad it makes it more difficult

I think there may be complications in terms of that midweek being available. I suspect the Premier League games currently scheduled for 30th December will end up being played over a number of days (and evenings) over the new year, a little like last season when we ended up playing at Chelsea on Thursday 5th. It may be one of the scenarios when either TNT or Amazon shows all 10 games but if not, I'm sure a number of games will definitely be on TV on different nights.
Of course we could theoretically play on Saturday 30th and play a Carabao QF on the following Tuesday or Wednesday (providing out opponent's fixtures allowed it) but the cup game probably couldn't be on TV if there are PL games the same night.

No, that's not going to be the case ... the weekend schedule is Friday night game to Monday night game max ... and that gameweek is weekend slot so most games will be Sat/Sun, and if any two get stretched, they'd be Fri and Mon night games.

Last season, there was the weekend fixtures (when we played Everton on Sat on 31st) and then there was the next gameweek for midweek games, that's the one that can be Tue/Wed/Thu and we played on Thu 5th ...

This time that mid-week is free. Last year we had extra gameweeks scheduled in mid-weeks due to stretched timetable to fit in the WorldCup in the middle of the season.

PL defines gameweeks, then TV picks them up in slots within each gameweek. Weekend gameweeks are Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon ... and mid-week gameweeks are Tue-Wed-Thu ... that midweek is FREE for PL!
