Fixtures Calendar - 2023/24

Does anybody know what would happen with a potential League Cup quarter final clashing with the Club world cup? Just wondering if they would move it or if we would be forced to play a youth team if we get there.

Its not meant to be random, thats a complete myth.

"Around March, the Premier League sends to its clubs a form asking questions such as whether there are there any dates they wish not to be at home - which is answered in conjunction with the local police - and whether there are any teams they do not wish to play at home on Boxing Day."

It is meant to be random around the constraints that are placed on the schedule generation, it is not a “myth”.

It's never been random. There's loads of factors that go into it.
There are different forms of randomisation, and this is a type of defined randomisation (where permutation does play a part, but the outcome is meant to be largely random).

I have heard people say many times that we ask for an away game to start the year but I have not seen an official statement from the club indicating that so I thought I had missed it.

Do either of you happen to have a link to that confirmed request to have an away game to start this coming season?

Cheers!
