The winners of the league are always at home first game the following season but what really gets me is how on many an occasion when this has happened they have been at home last game also, that is a fix it means we have had seasons where our first and last games we have been away
How can it be a fix? If they win the league we HAVE to be away, that's not a fix, it's just the way it is.

Dont tell me you have a soft spot for em Pige ? LOL Jesus the way your going on you would think you have

Them bastards will be at home.......again...probably err lets see.........Swansea,err no err QPR,er no fuck it it will be like home from home for the away fans....NORWICH !!!!!!
That's cos they're the Champions. The Champions begin at home first, so I believe anyway.

We will get Arsenal away, Spurs away, United away, Liverpool away, Chelsea away and then a combination of all 5 of them at the same time, again it will be away. Infact we aren't home until January.
They weren't reigning champions last season, but they got a home opening fixture. When are we going to get an opening day home fixture? Should have got one last season.

It doesn't matter though, we all play each other so how can it possibly matter? It didn't effect us when we smashed Blackburn on the opening game the season before last, plus a draw at Spurs is a good result too. And if you look at how close the league was this season, that opening home game of United's hardly gave them an advantage did it? Like I say we all play the same games so whether its the start, middle or end of the season it can't matter.

To be honest, i think he's just making the fair point that when the rags win the league, there is no other alternative but an away game up first for us in the following season. It's hardly a soft spot... just stating the obvious!

The fixtures on the rag website are just listed in alphabetical order! A rag who works with me told me about it and when he started reading them out it soon became obvious.

Check out the bolded bit - it's fairly obvious he's referring to their last game of the season being at home, not their first. It's a bit out of order to begin and end the season with home matches, no matter what team it is.

Anyway, it shouldn't affect us too much this time around as we'll have the title wrapped up with 3 or 4 games to go ;)

There was an article I read with all the requirements of the fixture list - for eg Us and the rags can't be at home on the same day, whree possible games will alternate between home and away, provisions for london teams, considerations for the boat race and marathons etc etc

The fixture list basically writes itself with all these rules

These so-called "fixture leaks" make me laugh - on almost every single occasion they turn out to be complete bollocks! Every now and then something resembling the truth might slip out on the morning they're due out - perhaps an hour or so before the 10AM announcement but even then it's impossible to know what's true and what's not.
