Florian Wirtz

Sounds to me like Wirtz is still open to any outcome regarding City or Bayern, but his Dad (his agent and also a Bayern fan apparently) obviously wants his son to join the team he supports.

We've offered €150m and £400k a week according to that Bild article.

Bild are a mouth piece for Bayern so the figures must not be too far off as they will have been clearly leaked.
I think this is naive, if they are a Bayern mouth piece they could just as easily lie to set up the he only went to city for the money angle as poor money strapped Bayern couldn’t offer the same wages.

They’d be reporting that he only wants Bayern already now if we weren’t at the table. Take it as a positive.

But yes they will either have the he turned down this much for us/he only went there for the money narrative either way.

I get his Dad wanting him to go to Bayern. It’s the establishment over there, and he probably has this imagine in his head of his son playing for the best German team for years. But we have Pep and we are the best run team in the world. The Pep factor along with having someone like Haaland here for 9 more years will be something the player looks at. We just have to wait and see.

Get the CL spot and we have a small chance
Don't get it and he won't come anywhere near us

You need at least two serious suitors to drive bidding higher.. His Dad is doing exactly what any agent would do..Nice little back story that he is a Bayern fan..I'm sure he is looking for closer to Haaland's level of wages than Kevin's..imo

Jack went in at 350 a week and if we are expecting him to leave as well as KDB we have plenty spare.

But he wouldn’t be on Haaland money from the get go.

He seems to be the hottest property on the move this summer in world football so it would not surprise me if his Dad was asking for more than 400k a week ++

Who is going to be interested in taking a 350k a week player with no output off our hands? Saudi isn't an option for him so i'd say there's a slim to no chance we offload him this summer.

Well word is he wants to leave to make sure he gets in the international set up for the World Cup, especially after the euros and our great club captain calling him out in public.

So he might take a wage cut, we might pay some of it for him to leave as that happens a lot or we can let him go dirt cheap and some teams will pay higher per week if they pay hardly any fee. Look at Aaron Ramsey at Juve!

Also according to Tolm something is lined up for Jack so let’s see.

Nailed on loan after loan until the end of his contract and then will go on a free.

We can offer close to kdb wages . Bayern can't as Kane and Musiala are on the same
They can offer him those wages, Muller and Sane contracts expire in 2 months, Muller probably leaving, he will be 36 in September!

Well word was last season, Pep wanted him gone.

Can't t see this happening

The fact that apparent leaked figures of a transfer fee and salary of what City have offered him (150m euros and 400k a week) was also in that article, and the fact Bild is the mouthpiece for Bayern, tells me they maybe not as confident as many think.

The fact Bayern are getting the entire Bayern Munich behind the scenes cavalry involved to try and get this transfer over the line also tells me it's not as straightforward as they would like.

If he was going Bayern Munich and Wirtz only wanted Bayern, the deal would be done.

I think the player is undecided. His father wants his boyhood club but the player might think, I can do 5 years at City and still go Bayern when I am 26/27. Leverkusen will also be pushing the City move.

Bayern know with City's offer they will have to stump up close to 150m euros and 400k a week. They need to rebuild their defence this summer as well.

True. This is all reports so no one knows.

I was actually under the impression Pep wanted him to stay as he’s loved within the squad/club. But like I say who knows.

The only other thing id say is if it’s being pushed by Jack (don’t think we’d be complaining too much tbh) that’s more likely to see him leave. Again that’s reports.
