Also statistically and stylistically very similar to Grealish at Villa, before arguably, Pep ruined him by having him hug the touchline and play safe.

I dont think we would mate and i think the timing of the announcement was telling? If we hadnt had positive news from Wirtz then what was the point of announcing KDB leaving when we did?

KDB was going ,whoever we get to replace him.Could be Wirtz, could be anyone.

I think the timing was natural, the international break provided probably the last chance for negotiations and a bit of clarity from Pep and the club. Regardless of who's coming in, it's time to rebuild and sometimes that means making difficult decisions

KDB was never going to stay, he's been broken for 2 seasons, physically he's done.

People getting carried away from a great performance against Palace, his first decent game for months.

The guy is a legend but on 350k plus a week, he was never going to stay and neither should he.

The club have learnt a harsh lesson for keeping the likes of Walker, Bernardo and Gundo one season too many.

Ruthlessness is needed to keep at the top.

Wheres twice the player coming from? Jack had better stats for a worse team in a harder league.

Don't think his injury record is a concern. He's had one major cruciate injury, which he's recovered from fine. Since that it's the odd game here and there.

11 goals and 11 assists last year in winning Bundesliga player of the season and carrying his team to the title (at the age of 20).

Only way is that city are still trying persuade Wirts and telling our best player ever thanks but we ain't giving you a contract is one way to show Wirts deadly serious and we really want you!
