No we definitely didn’t bid for Declan Rice. Apparently. There were heavy rumours linking us to all those players, and sadly as fans and non journalists that all we can go buy

We aren’t the only club worth signing for. Players will go to clubs for a whole variety of reasons. We get some other clubs likely want, other clubs get some we may want.

He and his family had an attachment to the club are we were also winning? We had the financial package as well but Erling grew up supporting us? Our play this season is turgid as fuck and we have managed to make the best number 9 in world football a pedestrian in most games? We also have the charges still looming despite what we all think isnt probably on players minds and we still have secured champions league football?

Disappointing if Wirtz has told us he doesn't want to join us but he's not the first & won't be the last to do that.
We as fans don't understand it because of how we feel about our club but players will pick other clubs for a variety of reasons, we aren't the only club in the game.
The club will have other players in mind & hopefully they can make it happen & we'll have a great window

Not only have arsenal signed Rice ,they have signed Zubamendi ,who is a better player than Nico Gonzalez and for similar amount .
There are too many holes in team for us to challenge next season .
We would at least need
2 Fullbacks
Replacement for Ederson
Creative midfielder .
We would also need a goal scoring winger but that seems unlikely ,we would also need Foden to recover .
We will win the PL next season. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Savinho is the player of the season as well.
This summer is not about buying the shiniest toy or thinking there is a single player magic bullet who will solve all of our problems. It’s about signing round pegs for round holes to get the most out of Doku, Savinho, Foden and Haaland.
This side is chronically short of energy and movement in the final third. Get two energetic midfielders and fullbacks who can cover the pitch to provide more options going forwards and help prevent the counter, and you’ll see a completely different City side.

Was David Silva too light for the premier league? Or is Foden?Probably, but Gibbs white is a top player, maybe a better fix ? young ,tenacious, leadership qualities,knows the premier inside out.
Very busy, got legs and can play.
Wirtz obviously quality .... Looks a little light weight for the premier league if I'm being picky .
Who knows, every transfer a gamble .

No he didn't. He played his first game against Inter and only played about half an hour against Arsenal before getting injured. But hey don't let the truth get in the way of your story.Rodri played at the start of the season and performances were still under par...Rodri does not solve our big gapping hole in creativity
