Foden agrees new deal

Apart from regaining the form he showed in the first half of the season, he needs to realise that he's now becoming one of the senior players in the side. He's not the golden child anymore. Must step up to the mantle and become a leader, because we need him to.

With Bernado leaving, this is surely his chance to do just that.

I love Foden, and glad he's staying. But, almost any other player would be gone. I'm assuming/hoping that it's because the club know that there is a personal root-cause to his ongoing poor form and he's overcoming it, rather than simply because he's one of our own.

Great news, he loves City and that's good enough for me. He's having some struggles quite clearly and the club have stepped in with a new contract offer.
Tells you a lot about the leadership team at City. Its not always about winning its about doing the right thing.

You would think Tuchel would obviously pick Rogers and Bellend. Will it come down to either Palmer or Foden?

Foden will go as he’s the back up to Kane. Don’t think your manager trusts any other striker why he tried the experiment in the friendly game. Foden best season for us if you look at where he played his football best was like a second striker, like a Dybala.

Palmer can’t do that , Bellingham is a child having a temper tantrum in Madrid. Tuchel values character if you go by Chelsea fans he put his arm around Mount I think he will do the same with Phil.

I’m fine with that , he gets to go to World Cup that will do his confidence a world of good. But he won’t have the insane amount of pressure.

Phil is the poster boy for the club and its homegrown talent. The club will stand by him and rightly so. There’s no affiliation to other plays who come from different clubs, the signing either works out or it doesn’t and that’s fine. But with Phil is different, he’s like the clubs son.

Nothing else to say but it is great news the club hasn't given up on Phil and he'll regain his form and can work through the issues in due course.

We all know what he is capable off, just not seen it for the last two seasons. If he fails to get back to his best at least we have him under contract and will be able to sell him for a decent fee.

Great news and good for both parties. Come on, Phil lad, we need you back better and stronger in that city shirt
