Not saying I disagree, what I was saying is that many players have been moved on after playing consistently better than he has over the past year or two. Some would argue that paying someone probably around £300kpw to be a poster boy is insane. FWIW, I hope he gets back into the side and showing his best form soon.Phil is the poster boy for the club and its homegrown talent. The club will stand by him and rightly so. There’s no affiliation to other plays who come from different clubs, the signing either works out or it doesn’t and that’s fine. But with Phil is different, he’s like the clubs son.
