I agree with a lot of what youre saying, but there is an irony in your last paragraphHe’s one of, if not best players in the league on his day, a proper city fan, local lad, proven winner and he’s in the prime of his career. Why on earth do some posters want him gone?

He was never going to be allowed to run his contract down. Smart move either way by us. Either he gets his head down and works his way back up or we get fee if he doesn’t.He always was going to agree to a new deal he is going no where!
