Went to the Muse gig last night and it was £4.20 a pint. On the plus side it was really easy to get served unlike match days

What was the difference bud in the way you were served?
Just less people or did the staff have some new system ??

They had 'temporary bars' with 4-6 Amstel pumps spaced every few metres and a huge bar in a tent outside - and more staff on the normal bars - 6-7 staff at each of the bars I went to.

The staff couldn't count though - which in this case was a goodd thing - 2xAmstel @4.50 each - gave them a £10 got £6.10 change. Then bought another pint - gave the girl £4.60 - got £1.50 change.

Difficulty is the concert contract is handled by a different firm to the one we used last season.

Jamie does a Pellegrini.

"Don't worry City fans, I'm going to change the face of stadia catering."

As someone who has never bought food / drink at the ground, I'm still amazed that people do given the piss poor beers and quality of food on offer and the prices charged.
That's what boozers and chippy's are for!

Same here, I get a coffee or a bottle of diet coke that's about it, mind you I don't like that type of food anyway

How do either of you know, if you've never tried it? ;)

In my youth I did, I just went off all the mass catering stuff years ago, the smell of fried onions makes me feel sick nowadays, and I know it's odd but I don't really like chips never have done

I would like it if they served a more healthier option, which was quick such as Rice, or Noodles/Pasta, with Seafood or Chicken

As for drinks, would love it if Smoothies/Juices were served.

Would never get this as its a Football stadium and shit like Burgers and Hot Dogs sell but this is exactly why they don't get my money.

Vendors need to operate aswell in the stadiums, guys could be walking around whilst we're sat down and sell us food/snacks

Not being funny but the food is made as well as it can be on such a rush, like to see one of you lot being put to the test of cooking the food or even being a till worker

nothing much wrong with the food on the whole. its the presentation and price that needs looking at.

as for the tills don't make me laugh, a brain dead donkey can press 3 or 4 buttons. the management of each and every kiosk is a joke, there seems no team leader, no runners, no stock control. I could run that kiosk in my dinner hour. I would hire my own staff, I would train them in customer care, in awareness and job satisfaction. I would have the same staff at the same kiosk every game. there would soon be an understanding of the customer you are serving which i'm sure changes from stand to stand.
people buy from people, a relationship develops and people begin to care about each other. on both sides of the counter.
people WILL pay those prices if they are served in the right way and enjoy their experience of visiting the ground.

I think the problem is the non permanent aspect of the job. Working one day out of 14 will not find you the best staff.

yep, as I said earlier.
