This will only be successful if it starts as it means to go on with a strong, independent,experienced businessman, with a sport and legal involvement.

If David Bernstein was a little younger he’d have been a good candidate.

Hopefully the chosen person will open the box and disclose everything that has been connived and by whom.

Rather than a businessman, it would be better to have someone from a law background. Hopefully with some understanding of the sport, but their bread and butter should be law IMO.

Putting a corporate man or woman in the seat leaves the door open to the same people that the Premier League holds it open for.

CFG took out a $650m loan in 2021 and some MCFC assets are collateral to Barclays due to it. Likely used to build NYFC's ground so disingenuous using it for MCFC.

Ok...so part 1 already exists. Part 2 will be "Is your money illegal?" and Part 3 is "Have you got a plan?"

As far as I can tell it wouldn't stop any takeover that's happened in the Premier Leauge since 2000.

Part two in theory would call a lot of takeovers into question. Abramovich, Maranakis, and even Thaksin among others would have had to answer uncomfortable questions to the satisfaction of the regulator. It depends how much proof and what proof they demand.

Part three also can be implemented to a strong degree or a weak one. If owners are expected to have an exceptional vision and set it out in detail, I suspect quite a few takeovers over the last two and a half decades would have been blocked across the pyramid.

There will likely be a chair and board for governance purposes with people from a variety of backgrounds, who are part time and rubber stamp everything, and a CEx and executive team who run the regulator as their fulltime jobs.

There is likely to be a fan rep and ex player as board members.

One of the best things we could do to improve the premier league is get rid of the yank control, remove FFP and stop any government interference because it wouldn't end well.

It's like we have this huge success story and it's going too well that tinkerers and miscreants want to fine tune it to death.
