You’ll be quoting Fibonacci next.. mind, so long as he tracks back like Fernandinho, then a cheeky bid in January would be ok by me..Is it a coincidence that you have used a derivative of 'triangulate' three times in three paragraphs?

And guess which team beat both Liverpool and Bayern Munich to a first European trophy...
You cover pretty much everything I’ve been saying about our venal sports press. Just to agree with your points regarding ‘investigative’ sports journalism, I despair that over recent decades we’ve had so many changes forced on the English game (not always for the greater good of the game, rather, serving vested interests such as the ‘Big 5’ then the ‘Sky 4’ etc) and barely a peep out of our press and media wallahs to challenge those behind those enforced changes. Instead, they choose to be partial in their opinions and lap-dogs to the established elite. We all know what’s been going on behind the scenes, with the power brokers using their influence to avoid criticism by whipping the media into line, but the supine behaviour of our press has been shocking. They should be ashamed of themselves. This is my point I guess. Der Spiegel contained factual errors in the opening line of the opening article (about City's formation) and so, in my eyes, it hadn't been properly fact-checked. A bit of an own goal because some of the errors were easy to fix - if they'd have contacted me or read one of my books about City's history they'd have got that bit right. Now that the Super League is being rubbished with some who were supposed to be behind it suggesting they may take legal action against the leaks/Der Spiegel then it's fairly obvious the whole lot of it should be properly investigated and challenged. As a historian I'm well aware that facts need to be properly triangulated and it is vital that this is done with all Der Spiegel's claims.
If I was in charge of UEFA - and any club or individual accused - I'd be seeking an independent investigation with the aim of getting the truth. Of course, this is unlikely as a full scale investigation could well identify deals etc. with various clubs, officials and so on. It sickens me that some of our best investigative journalists simply accepted Der Spiegel's stories as if they were true and it sickens me even more that few have raised the idea of investigating governing bodies and ALL clubs who negotiate and deal with them. As City fans I think we should answer any criticism of ourselves (that's way out of line!) or our club with a simple request along the lines of "we want a totally transparent, evidence-based investigation into UEFA and ALL clubs that deal with it. This must be properly triangulated so that all facts are properly evidenced and clear. Club-bias is irrelevant. What matters is that football provides a fair system that supports investment and growth of the game."
I'm pretty certain that the leading CL clubs do not want a full investigation and we all know that UEFA did their deal with City to avoid legal action. All I want is transparency, evidence based research and proper triangulation of facts and sources.
The United news is nothing out of the ordinary imho. Deals like that must be done all the time. At least it’s them rather than us for once!
Imagine all the Sterling news being released at once...a tattoo then breakfast then a dog then gold taps.....not to mention two step overs!
The World has gone absolutely stupid. I’m not sure what started it or when/ if it will end but it seems like either the whole world has been dumbed down or a few people have created this situation so they can get on with some really awful stuff while everyone is distracted.
That last paragraph is very true. I think a lot of people like to be told what their opinions are or should be. It fits in with this dogshit lazy culture we have whereby people can't even be arsed thinking for themselves. The United news is nothing out of the ordinary imho. Deals like that must be done all the time. At least it’s them rather than us for once!

For anyone else like myself wondering what a 'Gestifute' is, it's Jorge Mendes's agency with some familiar names on the books:- https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gestifute/beraterfirma/berater/413
Interesting if true.
3 actually, Bernado, Ederson and Oto. Wolves have no less than 6.I had to look that up myself but can't see why this is relevant. Still not sure why DS should target us as only a couple of Gestifute's clients are ours.
