How odd is it that the club realise there is an agenda against us yet many on here dont.

I think a lot depends on how you interpret the word agenda. I don't think many people think there is an international conspiracy by the entire news media against us but surely there is no doubt that we have some powerful enemies (probably our commercial rivals) and they have been happy to stick the knife into us at every opportunity. The hacking or leaking of emails doesn't happen by accident. The FFP rules didn't happen by accident and are nothing to do with fair play.
Meanwhile some (not all) sections of the media have been clearly biased against our club, for example the earlier tabloid coverage of Raheem Sterling. The BBC coverage online is driven by a clickbait culture which leads to more exposure for those fans with the biggest fanbases ie United and Liverpool. This is especially annoying because it is funded by all taxpayers and the BBC is supposed to be impartial.

If UEFA deemed the related sponsors fair value what does it matter if sheikh mansour was funneling the money back to the companies?

2009 what that dick Harris been going on and on about! Anything pre our uefa punishment is chip paper no matter what those leaks say! Uefa wiped our ffp supposed rule breaking clean.

All of a one minute discussion.

But it did its job, got the article (and the ongoing allegations) a mention and gave it, and the Mail, some publicity. They clearly know they're skating on thin ice going into any kind of detailed discussion given how the 'information' was apparently obtained. Matt Wallace sounded like he was trying to shame City into some sort of official response as that would presumably then open up those comments for media scrutiny, bizarre that he thinks he, or anyone in the media, would have any level of influence on our owners.

City are playing this the only way they can which is with a straight bat.

The series of der Spiegel articles, culminating with yesterday’s article, which was close to an opinion piece, and the release of certain emails.

As long as the emails were not legally obtained then City’s refusal to engage makes an investigation difficult as in effect the evidence for the investigation would be inadmissible. That’s why the likes of Harris, Castles, Draper and Northcroft want City to comment, once City comment then they’ve allowed comment on the emails. In effect the only options available are to deny the emails are correct, inadvertent verify the emails or worst case potentially show inconsistency with our previous FFP submissions. Saying nothing is to goad UEFA and the FA into a problematic investigation based on the articles alone.

Whoever is driving the Der Spiegel articles is hoping, but not expecting, City to be sanctioned but the real aim is destroy our reputation and taint our success.

It’s aim is to convict City in the court of public opinion and to extent it has already succeeded.

For the fiftieth time "His Highness" isn't Sheik Mansour, it is the Emir. Sheikh Mansour is "His Highness Sheikh Mansour ". Simon Pearce WOULD NEVER have made such a protocol faux pas in a billion years by calling Sheikh Mansour "His Highness"!

I can only see this ending in a courtroom which is the last thing UEFA would ever want as I’m certain the way football is run as well as other clubs would be exposed for all to see.

Funny how the FFP story was just after the main sports headline, yet our match report was at the bottom of the prem games despite us going top. To me, that was planned. They knew they had a negative story being released later on so they hid our match report.
