appologies bout the long post, right so last night i decided to start the pentagon, which for those who don't know what that is it's basically you have to win the champions league or equivelant in all five continents and start off with your reputation as sunday league footballer and as unemployed.
so heres the leagues i loaded, argentina (second division & above), austalia (premier division), brazil (second divsion & above), china (frist division & above),england (npower 2 & above), holland (eerste & above), ireland (first division & above), italy (serie b & above), mexico (promotion league & above), poland (first division & above), south africa (first divisions & above), south korea (nleague & above), spain (liga adelante &above).
so started the game in july 2010 england, applied for all jobs goin, none goin in england or ireland where i would have liked to have started, got offered alot jobs in asia and south africa, took the job offer from beijing, mailny because they offered the biggest transfer kitty, £768000.
when i took over beijing it was mid season, the media had them as predicted to finish second in the league, they were ninth, i signed a few players mainly free transfers and most off them brazillian or argentinian, then realised when i went to play first game that there are restirctions on foreign players on team, no more than four foreign players on pitch at any time and no more than 5 in the team including the subs, so that was a pain, but ive gotten used to that now,
i sacked my assistant manager as he was useless and got in none other that john aldridge, whos actually a best assistant ive had on any of the games ive played, i changed the training to my liking, and changed the formation to my 4-2-4 killer formation, which doesnt work week in week out there like it does in england, ive taken them from 9th to 4th. theres 8 games left and my team is ravaged by injury and suspensions, if i can keep in 4th spot ill get into the asian champions league. i'll give anupdate at end of season.
has anyone else tried this yet or be interested in doing the challenge ?
