Football Manager 2011

Anyone play this, similar to football manager except online and can play with other city fans or infact anyone around the world?

I stuck with Brighton and managed to finish 9th. Had a strong 2nd half off the season once my team had gelled and i made a few tactical adjustments. I defended deeper and started to concede a lot less and brought in a couple of good players in the January window to bolster my team.

I'm in pre season now and have gotten rid off all the dead wood, and most off the older players. Got given 30 million too spend again.

I've got a big squad now and got 2 quality players for every position, i'm pretty confident off finishing in the top 6/7.

Also brought in a couple of top class youngsters so i'm optimistic of eventually winning the premiership, in 2 seasons time is the aim.

Done all my spending now so just need to ensure I keep my best players from leaving.
 
finished 2nd in the SPL in my 2nd season at Dundee Utd, needed a 2 goal win on the last day of the season to win the league but drew 1-1 away at Hibs. Won the Scottish Cup, got to the semis of the Scottish League Cup and got to the 1st knockout round of the Europa League.

Just resigned, think I've taken them as far as I can, it's pointless hanging around a year to try and win a mickey mouse league when there's bigger jobs available. Always was struggling to keep players happy with first team opportunities so felt it wasn't worth scrounging around in the transfer market when I wouldn't be able to attract a better standard of player. Somebody else can have a go at the title and the Champions League, I've paid my dues.
 
despite having a world class reputation, having won 2 cups, finished 2nd and 3rd in the league and reached another cup final, semi final and taken my club further in europe than its been in decades, it appears that I can only attract crappy jobs outside of the top clubs...

...thrown away a stab at the Champions League and SPL for the glory, poo, to Billy Davies and all...
 
haha yes patience is a virtue end of june land myself the Shakhtar Donetsk job on £37,000 a week, 4 year deal(got £3,300 p/w @ DU on a 2 year deal), turned down Rangers(only offered £7,500), reigning Ukrainian Champions and in the Champions League, and I have £53m to go and blow on players, perfect :D.

On that subject, woudl be nice if you could invest some of your own money into a club and spend it. Not like other footy management games, where you can buy cars and houses and such, but if you could amass a small fortune and then invest into a club, become a manager / board member type at a lower league clubs, that could be very interesting.
 
Anybody use background pictures on Football Manager? I've tried looking for a megapack but i'm not sure of where to look anymore. Wouldn't mind a South American one if anyone has one. Quite like to start a game with Santos.
