Only Gary Chuckle and Souness say what they think probably because they are financially secure and not in hoc to a bookmaker.

Probably the reason Robbie Fowler doesn't do it as he's said some pretty damning things about the current dippers.

Did anyone see Ian Wright wearing specs when doing punditry for the England game a few days ago? - he was also dressed very soberly and refrained from his normal over-enthusiastic braying. He still talked shite though!

Of course he would, but he's talking about Palace, and saying they've done well. He's right too, they aren't going for the title, it's his judgement given what they have to work from.

Exactly. The season will tell how great the transfer window is, but how can you compare a club like us with City when it comes to transfers? Any sensible judgement is based on relatively comparing giving the budget, wages, size of the club, chance of trophies etc with the players they brought to take them forward.

The proof will come at the end of the season, but overall I would say we have had as good a window as anyone else in the league.

A ridiculous thing to say, but coming from him not surprising. Juve and M'Gladbach are yet to get a point in thier leagues and we have maximum points and haven't let a goal in - yeah, we aren't equipped in the slightest.
As for Utd, as long as 'the lads are happy....' That's all that counts.......

It's pathetic, the 'trade' will be non existent in 10yrs anyway, imagine people will be making their own predictions/analysis on social media in real time

I think the majority of football fans who watch televised soccer would be more than happy with just the crowd noise. I think that if I'm ever pestered by BT or Sky for a sub, I'd stipulate that I would have to have the facility of turning off the imbecilic commentary and the moronic punditry.

This is the typical case of "the pundit" not being impartial but predicting what he wants to happen

Bang on. I can honestly say that I watch all televised games with the sound off. I really don't see any need for commentators.
