For any member of the City Matters Committee

I could be wrong but I doubt that even Danny Wilson, who is now the senior figure at City specifically, knew about this in advance. I think he found out either at the same time or maybe just before the rest of us. Usually we get 24 hours notice of major announcements but not this one.

We've got a meeting scheduled next week but I doubt they need us to tell them what the fans' feelings are on this.

And they have the cheek to put in their statement “The Club's inclusion in the Super League will be an immediate focus for its continued engagement with supporters and other important stakeholders.”

What engagement with supporters are they “continuing”?

Resign en-masse.

Mansour, Khaldoon, and Soriano don't give a f*ck about the fans, our views, and what they want for the club. All they are interested in is revenues and profit. We, the fans, of Manchester City Football Club mean nothing to them.

Listen to this. A board member speaks out. Confirms splits are emerging at boardroom level, but all the club owners are all still going ahead with the breakaway. They are not bothered about the backlash. They expected it. All they are bothered about is revenues and profit, even if it damages football.

Ah the classic "boardroom split" "sky sources" "ive heard from someone"

Do you really believe what some no mark on Sky is coming out with?

Fits their agenda really doesn't it though.

Sky will be blown out the water by DAZN amongst others and now they have to find a new use for Martin Tyler and other other cunts who commentate on games and their once big cash cow has gone up in smoke.

I wonder when we get to see Jim White hanging out of a car window speaking to 'Arry Redknapp about it.

But even with your last sentence I trust that you WILL TELL THEM about Fan’s feelings PB?

This is no longer the club I’ve supported all my life. At 56 I am shocked and saddened by this news today. I for one with a very heavy heart will give up my 2 season tickets and will have no part in this new structure if it goes ahead. This news saddens me more than that Sunday many a year ago when we beat stoke and still got relegated to third level of football league.

At what point will our CM reps convey to the club the insane anger being felt by City fans to this uncompetitive ESL?

I seem to recall those same reps being much more forthcoming when they needed our votes. Now, silence.
Give them time! It was announced yesterday but with no real details. How you can say it is silence is beyond me.

Good morning
I am sorry to start a new thread but I didn't want this to get lost among other messages and if the Mods aren't happy with it I bow to their superior knowledge. :-)

Please could any member of the City Matters committee confirm that the subject of this new "Super League" and the fans reaction to it will be/has been talked about at their meetings? Has anyone thought to ask fans their feelings about this?

Thank you
Eccles Blue in peace.
The OSC have had their say https://www.mancityosc.com/post/european-super-league

1894 Statement copied from Facebook

1894 STATEMENT ON EUROPEAN SUPER LEAGUE PROPOSALS...
Judging by social media this evening the very fact City seem to be involved with this proposed new franchise "competition" has produced a reaction of disappointment across the support.
Disappointment that we seem to be siding with the same clubs that tried to stitch us up only a few months ago.
Disappointment that the fans have been kept in the dark and the age of true competition would be coming to an end with these proposals.
Large numbers of City fans are saying on social media they would be prepared to stop going over this.
We speak for our substantial membership and others who follow us on social media by saying we hope City withdraw from these proposals.
Project Big Picture was bad enough. These plans could devastate domestic football.
Fans turned their back with the "Poznan", we believe they will turn their backs on this idea too.
People running football clubs at the top level cannot be football fans, otherwise they would have listened to the fans on this.

And the point was we hit rock bottom thru our own incompetence, decided on the field of play, not some money inspired stitch up.

You're probably right?

But do you think every board member at those 6 clubs are in favour of this? Not a chance. But as per, people don't speak out publicly for fear of losing their jobs.

If you or I were on City's board, we'd oppose it, wouldn't we? Or would you just go along with it to preserve your position on the board?

I'd like to think even now that speaking out against this breakaway proposal at boardroom level at City is encouraged, if board members feel strongly enough against it?
