For the super statisticians

For the first time in a long time we had to leave early ( party in Nantwich ) had t be there for 6pm, against my better judgment left at 80 mins it felt wrong, anyway I was staggered how many people were leaving, not like running for bus or any reason just walking slowly away from the game chatting away, sometimes there's a reason we have all had one but some seem to make a habit of it, strange.

Well getting away from the Etihad was bad but with the South Stand extension it's now just awful.
One hour to get out of many of the bigger car parks this season. The traffic lights within a mile of the ground are not adjusted at the end of matches to aid exit either. Manchester City council and GMP clearly want grid-lock for some reason.

I'm not arsed about early leavers, I'll go before the 90 is up myself if it's all over but a bloke 1 seat directly in front of me leaves with his lad EVERY week on 75 minutes, I'm so used to it I don't even notice now but it made me think yesterday with him missing all the drama, I've even thought it must be impossible for him to stay any longer for personal reasons, a sick mother or family member but he still spends money on a season ticket to watch what he can so he's a great fan

When we have already scored 5 or 6 and fans disappear early to me that is a bit disrespectful. I always like to applaud the players off for a job well done, and think it must be a downer for the team to play a great game then look around at the end and see a half empty stadium, as if no-one cares. But ultimately if you miss another goal then that is not the biggest deal.

But in a game like yesterday when folks are going 10 mins before the end, you miss the part of the game where the result is decided.
All the excitement in yesterday's match was crammed into the last 10 minutes plus 5 of injury time.

Imagine paying £30-£40 to go to the movies, buying the popcorn and drinks, watching for the best part of 2 hours and then leaving 10 minutes before the end so you can get out of the car park quickly!

I cannot fathom why people were leaving at 1-1. It wasn't the odd one or two neither, there were loads. At one point about fifty people stood up at once in my block (about 85mins) and fucked off. Where were you all off to? One bloke near me was shouting "you'll miss the winner you fucking fools!"

mike summerbee has had a pop in yesterdays programme,im in the dont get why they cant wait to get away camp ,park somewhere else maybe? i never leave early alan turing way is clear all the way to longsight

There is another thread on here about match day rituals. I always leave with 4 minutes to go.Watch the final few minutes on the concourse through the tunnels. Only ever stayed once, a Derby, thank you Mr Nasri. Now if I don't leave then City will get beat. So all those having a go think again. If it wasn't for us early leavers you wouldn't see any last minute goals. No, you don't have to thank me.

If ever there was a definition of part time support er then someone who leaves 15 mins early every home game must be it !

My biggest gripe is people not taking their seats before kick off and at half time. Players running out to a half empty stadium. I think thats worse than leaving early. Thoughts ?
