As I say, I don't think that it's hypocritical of him to ask for calm regarding Mancini after he wanted Hughes out. Hughes had a lot more time and money than Mancini has currently had, and had about the same results.
If he was barracking Hughes after a few months then fine, but after two years, he may have just had a legitimate opinion?
I think for a large percentage of this board, we remember the havoc caused by the foaming Hughes Out Brigade last season, which all but ruined Bluemoon.
The fact is that Hughes wasn't given a chance by many people on Bluemoon from day one. And I'm not talking about those of us who posted in agony after the Forrest or West Brom debacles. I'm talking about those people who chose to not accept Hughes from the day he joined our club. Never gave him a chance, and absolutely annihilated his character (and still do).
Personally I find it headspinningly (is that a word?) bizarre that the very same people now wail, cry, moan, feign indignation at the mere mention that Mancini may not be universally loved and accepted.
IMO, hypocrites to a man. And they all know who they are as well so I certainly don't need to point it out...
