We all know the Championship result was screwed over by that bonkers official who chose NOT to apply Safety Car restarting rules to the letter and Lewis was robbed of this 8th title BUT that wasn't Max's or Red Bull's fault. I'm assuming there is a 'push' on social media to 'right this wrong' via a points deduction in 2021 for Max. Whilst it would undo the outcome of Michael Masi's ridiculous actions in Abu Dhabi it's not the right way to do it IMHO.
IMHO the right way is to exclude the last lap from the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (because it wasn't run under the correct rules) and use driver positions at the end of the penultimate lap to decide the result of that race and ultimately the drivers championship.
And as for Max, he knows he "won" the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix under non-conformant rule making and there will ALWAYS be a cloud over it. And he's run away with it this year and will probably do again for the next few seasons. His reputation wil grow anyway and this way he'll have no cloud over anything he has done.
