FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

Home to Spurs next - Haaland could score 5 easily.
That's aged well.

I sold Haaland and Smith-Rowe, took a -4 and bought Salah and Jackson (12 points)

I'd have captained Haaland today if I'd kept him, so I'm already 3 points up with Salah captain to come.

I'm genuinely thinking of selling my other 2 City players. Lewis is toast, it's just if I also want to sell Gvardiol as well, I'm unsure on that yet.

He could easily of had 5! So close to 2 goals in the first 10 mins - then knew it was another one of them days - ballooning chance after chance. rahhh
Could have doesn't matter. He's been out of form, as have the entire team recently. Currently he's not worth the price.

Saka got 13 points today, next week it might be Palmer. You can't have these players plus Haaland and Salah, something has to give.

If Salah gets a 10 pointer tomorrow which is easily possible I'll be 23 points better off even after the -4.

Foden is out for Saka tonight as I've seen enough, and he will drop in price and Saka is surely to rise in the coming days. Preserving team value is still needed at this stage, especially if you want 3 premiums and more than stiffs around them. No point in bringing Saka in prior given the Arteta mind games with the questionable players coming off the break, plus I figured Phil deserved a chance vs. Spurs at home.

The only smart thing I did this GW other than losing Haaland for a -4 before Salah's 2 price rises was keeping Wissa on the bench (hello, road game blank) and keeping Cunha on.

Gvardiol will stay for now because I don't need to take a hit and because as bad as he looked defensively today, he created numerous chances in the box too. He'll likely be on the bench vs. LIV.

I'm very tempted to sell Haaland at this point. He hasn't produced anything meaningful in weeks. And it's a lot of money tied up, particularly with my wildcard still available to me. Anyway; 36 points so far (including 14 from Porro; sorry!). Robertson, Diaz, Salah (c) and Pope still to play.
As the game was winding down and I was thinking how it has been commented for weeks and months from content creators how Spurs don't keep a clean sheet, there aren't too many that would have started a Spurs defender today given their other back line injuries, being on the road, just losing to Ipswich, playing at City, Pep with a new extension, I could go on but you can't hardly make it up!

No apology needed to me - points for pissing in the perceived wind are well deserved.

It goes against the grain to have someone from City's opponents in any given week in my team. I shipped out Solanke (for Evanilson) for that reason. Cost me 3 pts, that did. But I completely overlooked Porro. Luckily, even though they are somewhat dirty points.

I don't like making defensive transfers and as you said Gvardiol is an attacking threat but Lewis is on the bench until I can get rid.

I think I'm going to make 2 forward transfers in the next 2 weeks with Larsen out this week and Wood out the week after.

Should get a thread ban for mentioning Porro.

Oh sorry Jimbo...Didn't realise it was you!
