FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

so many in my league had Bruno and captained him, sickening. i was way ahead of them prior Man u match.
I'm reluctant to have any rags in my team (it's bad enough having dips and Tarqs). But you can't deny, he's clocking up the numbers this past few weeks. 5th in the table* behind Salah, Palmer, Haaland and Mbuemo.

*I actually thought he might have been a place or two higher, to be honest. It'd be interesting to see that table since New Year's Day. I doubt Palmer would be second. He's done fuck all for weeks.

61 this week and thats with Wood as skipper. 4 goals and the free scoring centre forward isn't involved in any of them <insert rage emoji here>

For the first time in a decade I've got a rag in the team, couldn't bring myself to make him captain, wish I had now

That's an excellent return in a low scoring week. I have Elanga in my team. Not as captain, unfortunately.

whats the best week to use bench boost ?
I tend to just go for it when all my players seem to be getting game time and returns and your bench looks good for the week ahead. Straight after playing wild card often works well.

It's the most random and least value chip as your basically just including the 4 players you would otherwise leave out.

Apparently, I'm in the top 22% of managers worldwide. Whoop de fucking doo. 415 pts behind the number 1 manager. I'd like to crack the top 15%, but that seems unlikely, barring a run of 100 pt weeks. Which ain't gonna happen. Maybe the top 20%?

Game week 34 because of the blanks, I've got both keepers, 2 defenders, 2 midfielders and 2 strikers missing - and both the strikers are also currently injured.

You could still get a decent finish but you need to plan a chip strategy, that's where the big gains are made usually.

My plan.

Just Wildcarded.
TC Isak, and have 6 DGW players in 32.
BB with 12 DGW players in 33.
FH in 34.

Subject to the rescheduled fa cup fixtures going in those predicted GW's.

I'm in a no Liverpool player league, 2nd at the moment, 30 points behind, but looks like wild card week for me, too many out of form players propping me up atm

Are you sure about GW33 being a double gameweek? It's not showing as one on the app. The preceding week has Newcastle vs Palace as the extra fixture.

Still waiting for confirmation but it looks likely that City, Villa, Arsenal and Palace will double in 33, because of rearranged fixtures from the fa cup semis, Villa and Arsenal still in the CL so not many available midweek slots.

Forest and Brentford could double but unlikely with Forest playing MNF that midweek as well.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye on it as it approaches. I'm looking at offloading Palmer before this week's deadline (possibly bringing in Eze or Sarr). The latter is surprisingly cheap (5.7m), given his form in the last couple of GWs.

I've brought Palmer in on the wildcard, then plan to sell him to Saka for the Arsenal double in 33.

The next 3 fixtures are really good for Chelsea attacking wise, he's back in training, the break might have done him good, and I'm a bit worried about Saka's minutes for the next couple of games so it works out well.

What chips have you got left Jim?
