I think our wingers next season will be Jack and Phil. And yes, it hope Bernado stays. We'll be jaded and to ed to start the season. Especially those going to the World Cup.
We will need a larger squad than normal this coming season
Posters were much more negative about this thread stating he can’t be Busquets replacement in January. Maybe because back then it looked like FDJ was a real option to replace Dinho. But I’ve always been negative on him as Dinho’s replacement because he’s not a 6. Rodri needs decent cover. I just find the difference in discourse now vs then interesting.

There’s no real player exchange we could do to get Frenkie anyway as Barca already have players they can’t register?! No way city do €80m plus on him.

Do you not think this is an argument for us to go for him?
Currently we've got Bernardo, Kev and Gundo to fill two spots. Ilkay has had various fitness issues and might see his minutes reduced further because he's out of contract next season and Kev has been run into the ground at various times and I think we seriously need to take care of him.
I know people have theorised Grealish can play there but I don't see it as bringing out the best in him and I feel like we could wait a lifetime before Pep thinks Phil is ready for midfield.
Then there's the real possibility of him filling in for Rodri on occasion. There's talk on this thread about how he can't do it but I don't see why Pep would be as reluctant, given he's played the likes of Gundogan and Stones there previously.
If anyone can bring him up to standard as a holding mid then I'd have all the faith in Pep being that person.
This is probably just a way of justifying my greed but I do believe there are plenty of minutes to go around.

Come to think of it, you have a point there. To be honest I won't mind it at all. As I think Jack and Phil will be out starting wide forwards with Mahrez and Alvarez backing up the front 3. This assumes Sterling and Gabby will leave.
So we really need that 5 for 3 mid spots too. Bernado, Kevin, Rodri, Gundogan and FDJ will be a solid 5 for the 3 spots.
