Fuel Prices

wonders if i can import my fuel from saudi...fuck the government, they will only waste my cash..fill my car in mid atlantic on a raft and away i go...lol
This increase will send a few more companies down..really wished we were a stronger nation and have a backbone and tell the government to fuck off,at the end of the day we elected them.

I'm self employed and driving a van is a major part of my business. Last month I used £270.00 in diesel somewhere in the region of £60 more in fuel compared to February last year. For the time being I've decided to soak the cost up myself rather than pass it on to my customers and risk losing business. The problem I have is how long I can carry on doing this?

It wouldn't be too bad if bus prices were half decent but privatisation was a disaster there, instead of competition the companies just carved up routes between them and prices are ridiculous. You get the other problem that at least a state owned bus service could be properly subsidised so that they weren't paying more than needed in fuel taxes.

Last week I took a 5 mile bus journey. One bus, one way. It cost £3.30. Fucking ridiculous. It wouldn't have been much more for a taxi.

The cost of fuel is not the issue here, its the fucking daylight robbery in tax that this government is milking off the back of it.

Fuel prices should be linked worldwide. Its the same fucking oil the world over.

This country is a melting pot and the powers that be are sat with smug faces thinking its all piss and wind and that the general public will just keep taking it up the arse but i honestly think they are in for a big shock soon.

We all have a duty to make it very clear that enough is enough.

No matter what we do we will always be penalised by the Goverment for products we use!! On the flip side though had to laugh once when in Bahrain, got into this flee pit ramshackled Nissan Sunny Taxi. whilst on my journey he stopped of at the petrol station, he fills up from next to nothing and it came to about 7 quid. He then try to charge me a tenner for the 4 mile trip!!!

I live close to the cheapest petrol in the UK its at RAF mildenhall....theres a BP station flogging unleaded at 56p a litre..........

problem is that it is on the other side of the wire and you can only buy it if you are an american service man / woman

We might be reaching the "Limitation of Taxation" point, like we have with tobacco, (different situation and outcome) with Tobacco being so highly taxed it is well known that a significant amount of tobacco is now sold tax free, civil servants will freely admit that they have not really got a clue how many people smoke in this country because so much is smuggled, it plays havoc with future health predictions, because all those smokers may require health treatment but they will be paying no tax.

With fuel, you get higher inflation on everything that has to be transported, people cut back on things, so the government gets less tax but still has to pay for everything, it's a nightmare the Treasury is addicted to the tax revenues, yet the government knows the result is screwing the rest of the economy, it's a very viscous circle

Buses are ridiculous anyway. The 17 that goes down Rochdale road is used a lot at busy times, you'll get a full bus in the mornings and at rush hour on the way home. However, during the day from about 10am to 4pm theres always like 3 double decker buses following each other, every 10 minutes with about 5 people spread out on them.

I pay 69p a ltr.

I had my Bemma converted to LPG last year. Same power 5% less mpg, I'm £s in.
