Let me put it this way.

.........18 men matchday squad:

Ed, Muric,
Walker, Danilo, Stones, Ota, Laporte, Zin
Fern
, Gundogan, KDB, David, Bernardo
Raz, Mahrez, Sergio, Jesus, Sané.

8 probable starters in bold.
3 spaces left for Pep's brain. ;-)

No space on the bench for Komps, Delph, Foden, Mendy, Sandler or any kids.

Hopefully KDB can hold his horses and can return to full power step by step. Hope he doesn't start.

Is Mendy fit?

....(puts tin hat on)

Ask his misses.

Not sure what to make of him I am sure he is professional enough not to take the piss out of Pep if he wants a career at the top level he has to get his body right.

When he is fit he is definitely the best player we have in his favourite position.

Ederson

Walker - Otamendi - Laporte - Zinchenko

Fernandinho (if fully fit, if not then Gundogan)

Bernardo - Dave (i'd actually go for Gundogan but Pep is not gonna drop Dave)

Sterling - Aguero - Sane

Early kick off on Sat, let's beat the shit out of Fulham and then sit back with the pressure back on Liverpool against Spuds.

I think the biggest problem with both the Fulham and Cardiff games is that everyman and his dog has us down to win. I just hope the players don't let their minds drift onto bigger games coming up and lose intensity especially in the last 15 minutes of games on an effort to vonsecon energy. We have a big enough squad to rotate

Conserve energy

Pep just had to remind them of Palace and Leicester, we can’t afford to drop any points

There is not many times our players /team have done that. It's the other team that have played like its their cup final or shut up shop.

No one seems to be giving spurs or southampton a chance against the dippers either

Not sure if Otamendi is fit, but if Stones is fit I would put him in. Also I would put Danilo in for Walker

Or just get an Uber and travel in style !!!!

Get on the westbound Circle or Hammersmith line. Get off at Hammersmith and walk to the river and along the Thames foot path. It takes 20/30 mins and is the nicest walk to any ground I know. Throw in a few great pubs and I'm already looking forward to the walk back. The Dove is well worth a visit after the game - if you can get in; it's tiny!

Cheers I will be taking this advise!

Don't think we'll be firing on all cylinders first game back after the break ( we never do), but I'll go for a 2-1 win.

Ederson

Danilo Stones Laporte Zinchenko

Gundogan

B.Silva D.Silva De Bruyne? Sane

Aguero

Subs: Muric, Walker, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Sterling, Foden, Jesus.

Fulham are mostly hopeless but their recent performances have been much better, even if they haven't been getting the results. They pushed Chelsea and were unlucky not to get something out of the game, they were level away at Leicester before a late collapse, and they were unlucky not to get something out of the Liverpool game. Hopefully we'll be a little more streetwise than Liverpool were so that we're not left hoping for a mistake from Rico. Having Fernandinho, Stones and De Bruyne back is a huge bonus but I still wouldn't start all of them.

Going for 3-1 City.
Ederson
Danilo, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko
Gundogan
Sterling, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Sané
Aguero

There’s been 3 previous international breaks. In the games immediately after them, we won 3-0, 5-0 and 4-0.

The 3-0 was also against Fulham and we scored after 2 minutes. So the total opposite of a slow return to Premier League action!

Granted, the 4-0 v West Ham was THE strangest game I’ve ever seen because we did not deserve that scoreline at all, but that was the start of a run of more than 10 poor performances, so I’m not sure the international break was the reason for it.

We scored early in all 3 games too, so perhaps it suggests the players actually come back keen to get back in the groove. West Ham was disappointing for the chances we conceded, it was unlike us. But we created plenty of early chances ourselves.

I don’t really see an underlying problem with how we return from international break. Bit of a myth for me.

Think we will win but Fulham are a decent side. Also think spurs will have the pool.

Ederson
Danilo, stones, laporte, zinchenko
Gundogan
Silva, bernando
Sterling, aguero, sane

Subs muric, otamendi, walker, fernandinho, debruyne, Jesus, mahrez
