Need to find a system that works, no creative spark, no cutting edge.

It's the central midfield for me, I know Kovacic has scored twice today but I'm not convinced with his work off of the ball. Plus he's the player that the opposition give all of the space on the edge, today that backfired but it usually doesn't.

Thought Kova was best midfielder!! Gundy & Phil were poor & kept losing the ball

I thought Kova away from his goals was poor. Feels like he's never in position when we're defending.

Might be judging him harshly but every time Fulham put a cross in I just kept thinking Rodri would have read that.

For Wolves away, I wouldn’t mind seeing a central three of Stones-Grealish-Bernardo, for at least a try and see what it’s like for a game.

Nobody was passing to Foden today even when he was wide open for the pass (about thirty times, genuinely!) and he’s been out before then so it’s not like he’s pivotal at the moment… Gündoğan looks like he’s got lead boots, lead socks and lead shorts on… Kovačić scored two but didn’t actually play well today and looked fucking knackered in the last ten minutes and can’t play every game.

But just to see something a bit different.

Still trying to work out the best way to play at the moment. Concerning the number of clear chances we are giving up though. A better team beats us comfortably today. Walker looks shot, Gundo doesn’t look as if he is up to speed yet, odd subs today. But we take another three points. Hopefully Nathan and KDB back soon to help.

Just seen the goals. He's my favourite player, but why did Eddie just not come for that ball for their first goal? Seemed more difficult to just stand on his line. Weird.

There is a big Rodri shaped hole in the team.

Don't think Kova is able to play that role. In fact he looks a decent Gundo replacement. Speaking of whom, he doesn't look the same player. Maybe a year playing in La Liga has taken the edge of him.
Obviously Kev will be fit again and will start.

Bernardo's wasted out wide.

Still have no idea who to pick in a midfield 3.

Hasn't Johnny Stones played in mf?
I seem to recall him playing there a couple of seasons ago?

yeah the 'still tinkering' with lineup and system stage of the season. Ill take 3 points in any way whatsoever while he figures this out.

I want to see Bernardo in the middle, maybe the Rodri role. I think we have to try the Stones experiment for the height and physicality as well.

Bernardo's a better shooter and that DM role has been given at least 10 decent positions to shoot in the last 3 or 4 games.
