I remember Paul Cooper played a few games for us after a brilliant career for Ipswich he was a specialist at saving pens and his secret was he didn't dive until the player shot ,simple bit effective tactic.

Bert had a better than 50% record v pens. His secret was research in the days prior to telly. Read all the reports, looked for photos etc.

It was a soft penalty but he was caught so in the rules a clear foul

We were down to 10 men for two thirds of the game and still controlled it and pushed for the win. Nobody should be getting any negativity tonight. Cancelo, maybe shouldn’t be praised too much but that was an immense effort and some of the posts were just ridiculous.

Strong mentally to get that win. Cancelo was foolish to give the referee a decision to make. Bernie and Kev are out of this world. Alvarez and Haaland both so dangerous.

Wtf is wrong with Phil just now though, his attitude at times was poor - misplaced pass to him and he has a wobbler.

I can only think with foden its world cup syndrome, not willing to pull that hamstring. Theres a few doing it
