Fulham (H) - Post Match Thread

i could see pep getting frustrated as we got sloppy near the end

Yes, that frustration showed when the ball was kept in the crowd & they brought another one out, the second ball came to Pep & he banged it on the ground bouncing it back to the 4th official in temper! We play 90 minutes in a match not 75! Although sometimes the midfield passes were mesmerising & I can understand why the singing goes quiet at times. It’s usually when we are at our best. I’ve been told even I am not as noisy this season!! :-)

Playing like we still have our housecoat and slippers on imo.

Nowhere near the standard we can reach. Good sign that.

Bernardo really starting to look the part now. Ran the show today.

Delphi is much better than Mendy defensively.

if raheem improved his finishing he could push sergio for top scorer, he really could

Absolutely, although his first time crossing in the second half was world class.

The one he hit that Jesus wasted was reminiscent of the De Bruyne one cutting out three players against Stoke last season.

Raheem is visibly stepping up and would now like to see a couple others following suit.

Half way back from the match stopping for a coffee
Well though most of the team played ,I can't believe no one has mentioned Dinho so far.
He was imperious today setting up the first goal, starting attacks and breaking up theirs. My MOTM.

Fulham will cause plenty of teams problems but we are on a different planet and seem to be able to switch off or on at will

Sane's display shocked me. I'm a huge fan. His attitude was a disgrace at times.

Never tracked back, stood and watched overlaps and genuinely didn't look interested unless it was on the edge of the opposing 18-yard box.

Regardless of where his fitness level might currently be, there is no excuse for not doing the basics.

On a more positive note, Bernardo, Fern, Delph, Otamendi and Sterling all played with the right intensity.
Fair comments although a tad harsh on Sane, he does have an air of arrogance and appathy but I thought he did well on the whole. Has the ability to be as good as he wants really, just needs to become more consistent instead of drifting in and out of games. That will come.
Was impressed by Fulham, they have courage and pass the ball well but it's hard to cope with our pressing.

It's hard to decipher if we are coasting at times or still short of real fitness?
Bit of both.

Game was over after 2 minutes. Bernardo was excellent in the middle yet again, should play there exclusively whilst KDB is out. Delph was superb too, he's a genuine option in even the biggest games on the left depending on how Pep wants to lineup, still think he should get the chance to fill in for dinho on occasions this season.

Baffled by the subs, seemed like a very strange and makeshift formation when he took Delph off, he had Zinchenko on the bench so it was obviously tactical but it would never work with that personnel on the pitch so seemed rather pointless. Although we had clearly eased off, we looked uncomfortable once that switch was made. Pity Foden didn't get on but we need to realise Gundogan is just as much of a part of the squad as Foden, and he cant get preferential treatment simply because hes young and from the academy, all will get game time over the season if they show it in training.

Fulham played some nice 1/2 touch football at times, particularly breaking forward, people might sayit was a bit naive to play that way against us but when they know their weakness is in defence why try to shut up shop? They had a go and will learn things from that to take forward into future games, expect them to do well this season once they settle
