Fulham League Cup - Post Match Thread

Great watch last night. So frustrating not being there. We played some wonderful stuff. Jesus was just magical, Foden will be a world beater, Diaz will not be far behind. I even thought young Gomez(?) looked very accomplished even though he was only on for 5 mins or so. Our young team are frightening.

Didn’t think we could get better but he seems to have done it. Seamless mass changes as opposed to league cup last year and our defence is another level.

Arguing about the crowd? It’s exactly what those who use it against us would want. Fuck em.
Exactly. Plus it we had a better attendance than the rags.

Absolutely spot on. We made 10 changes last night, 10....what other team can do that without losing a massive drop off in quality !!!! We are truly blessed in this age.

Ladt night all playing were top quality. The Jesus we saw last night is the one he needs to rediscover in the league, its there as we all know, he just needs to keep doing it.

Ps - get Diaz signed asap Pep

We know KDB is class, so for me the most impressive display tonight was from Jesus. Things not falling his way, but he's working so hard and showed a lot of skill tonight.
Yeah Jesus was great - I'd already written loads otherwise I'd have been more effusive

Can see Danny as first choice right back by the end of the season.

Poor Gabby. He’s been working like a Trojan, and showed some nice touches last night, but can’t buy a goal. Old striker adage applies though: once he gets one, he’ll get a few.

I enjoy the chance to see the kids in action. They did their careers no harm with those performances.

I really enjoyed the contest between Diaz and Sessegnon last night, two hugely talented kids going head to head. Diaz didn't get past Sessegnon too often but equally he kept one of their best attacking threats fully occupied and bagged two goals. Nice touch of mutual respect with the little handshake between the two when Diaz was subbed.

What was the most impressive about last night was the actual lack of a drop off from the team.

Normally in these Cup games you lose a few percent of intensity, but that wasn't the case last night. It also shows why this year will be different from other title defences as there's far more competition for places. Every player has to perform at their highest level.
