It looks like Sergio Gomez is rated higher as an attacking midfielder for Spain u21s than this guy and even he isn't good enough to play his natural position for us.

Why spend £30m on a player worse then or at best equal to Palmer/Mcatee/Gomez?

I can tell you why. Because if the club thinks he’s useful in this squad and good value, they know a lot fucking more than we do hence the three trophies they just collected this year.

Rather us buy a winger if bernardo is staying and move bernardo back to CM. Veiga is a good player and hope we buy him but more with future in mind than now he looses the ball too much right now and next to KDB it would cause problems

Veiga is the same height as Declan Rice and already a big unit at 21. Foden needs to play further forward, but if Veiga can settle and adapt to the English game, he would be an astute signing.

He plays for a side that escaped relegation on the last day of the season (thanks to him). Those stats are more suggestive of the system that he's being asked to play in than anything else.

If our scouts think he can pass the ball, I'm happy to believe them.
