What if he’s being offered £50k at Napoli, and £500k in Saudi?

He'll be playing alongside some very good players, and can come back to Europe in three years, with a top footballers lifetime salary in the bank.

He'll still be only just 24. Either the league has taken off by then, or he gets to move back for his peak years.

Israel have been in UEFA since 1994.
They've been in Champions league since then and their international team plays in Europe.

Think that the player is very overrated, and he his agent tried to take advantage to shop him around.

Not one club, apart from a Saudi one, was interested enough to make an offer acceptable to Celta (and it won't be a huge fee either).

Thats the whole of Europe taking a pass on you (and even lower tier PL sides have lots of cash for an offer to the club, even if they wouldn't be able to match Saudi wages).

He wasn’t really. His agent did his job and put him in the shop window. Even with a low release clause, only Napoli seemed to put in a bid.

Looks a terrible move at his age but I guess he can return to Europe in a couple of years - if he’s prepared to take a huge cut in pay and start paying tax again. It’s good to see Napoli get messed around in the transfer market!

Well yeah, if that's your aim. But that's not why most people become professional sportsmen. He might have been sold the project, but I can't imagine the league becoming top level within a time period that will allow any of the current signings to benefit from it in a sporting sense.
