Iheanacho's primary position is actually an attacking midfielder. He is just being played as a striker at Man City. Nigeria has him as an attacking midfielder / second striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation. He can also play on the wings.

Still I agree. Overall I think Gabriel Jesus is more of direct competition to Nolito, Navas and Sane than Iheanacho or Aguero. If however Gabriel Jesus becomes a second choice striker ahead of Iheanacho I think Iheanacho will force himself out next summer.

Can you name any 20 year old striker who has forced his way out of a club because of a lack of game time?

And of those, how many did that after 6 months?

And of those, how many were at clubs challenging for titles, playing in the CL and under a world class manager?

All 4 goals in Brazil NT só dar

Just 4 games!

All impressive finishes too. Looks some talent.

As others have mentioned I imagine he'll be left wing for us for at least the start of his City career. Also agree with others who've stated he'll become a hated figure, he comes with a lot of antics at the moment that will take a while to iron out, lots of diving/rolling around, waving imaginary cards at the ref etc. Imagine it could be fairly funny from a City fan perspective, but rivals fans will get pretty upset with them a la Costa.

No one is writing him off.
Aguero has been awesome for us but he cannot be relied upon to play consistently without breaking down - often inocuously.....so yep, glass is an appropriate description from my viewpoint.

Hopefully Jesus wont have such frequent issues.

To say Sergio is injured often innocuously is harsh, this guy gets kicked from pillar to post most weeks, when he turns quickly he regularly gets a kick or a rake down the calf/ankles yet is never protected.

Pogba - ha ha

I do hope he his given time to settle in and, is not expected to set world on fire from day one ( hate the "hit the ground running expression ") he is a very young man who will be living in a new country with totally different culture. We have to remember these kids are not robots but humans with feelings that can be affected by environment change.
So let's all be patient with the kid.

Just back in the country for a day & managed to catch this game last night.

This kid is the dog's bollocks. Getting better by the day.

I'm a big supporter of Iheanacho since seeing him in the kids team at the World Cup, but this kid is even better. If we can get both in, then fantastic. Jesus says he likes playing wide & he still scores from there.

Imo this kid is on another level to Aguero at a similar age. Aguero had the same ability but not the brains.

Different class.

Never mind comparisons between Kelechi and Jesus, we've got two of the world's brightest young talents at the club for a combined fee of less than £30m, I'd have no problem seeing both starting if Sergio was unavailable and who knows, maybe Pep has a City version of the Barca "trident" in mind for the future.

Surely we'll move him in here with family and or let him live at Dinhos for a while and give him time to settle in.
Kid looks dynamite and if he brings some of what weve witnessed already will be a fantastic addition.
IF he settles quickly we'll be devastating after X-mas
