I missed it — why was he not in the squad for the Leicester match?
Pep said he had a "Small Knock" but one of the daily papers mentioned that after the loss to CP, Pep had all the squad in on Christmas Eve to practise taking corners (apparently we've only scored 3 times out of 160+). Apparently GJ was upset because he had already made plans for a family gathering.
So may be a bit of disharmony? If true, I hope it's only temporary.

If he is making plans despite no winter break in the PL then its really poor on Jesus' part. When player is under contract he is available to the club at all times, except the 5 week or so break they get in summer. Only has himself to blame. If true that is.

First corner the next game after all that Christmas Eve training, the ball doesn’t clear the first man..

Thought he did ok when he came on yesterday. Full of energy and played a couple of lovely touches.

Absolutely dreadful finishing today. Give him another game against Burton to hopefully snap out of it, because if not he's really not much use to us. Hard work off the ball or not.

Up against the clock now this fella. Can’t keep missing the chances he does and expect to keep getting away with it. He’s been lucky that we paid money for him and he is something of a Pep project, because other players would have been cast aside by Pep by now. If he carries on like this for the rest of the season, Pep will surely want a new striker for next season and once he becomes 3rd choice striker in a side that usually plays with one up front, he is as good as finished at City.
