I feel like I could somehow fit in Pascal's Wager analogically into a discussion about Jesus.

Basically, considering how hard working he is, wouldn't it make sense to just have faith in him coming good again (goalscoring wise) anyway?

I am frustrated with him too but, mark my word this will make him better. He plays better when he plays with flair give him a consistent run with kun. It also would help Mahrez to play just behind giving him more space

I get the impression he is a bit short of pace off the mark. Could be he needs to improve his anticipation but in a straight race with Ajayi today he lost out three times. That lad was impressive though - ex Arsenal and current Nigerian international.

Got his goal but missed about 3 sitters. Give him another chance against Burton. Let Aguero rest.

Aguero did not miss chances like that against Leicester mate. And there’s a big difference between Leicester and Rotherham.

There’s not in terms of how a player performs.

Aguero was fucking awful vs Keicester, Sané fucking awful at the start of the season.

The point remains, if we don’t let Jesus or any other player get into their stride, it’s unfair to judge. I wouldn’t judge Aguero in his first game after a few weeks out, nor do I Jesus.

A lot of the same people that are having a go at him for missing a couple of sitters are the same ones saying we should be playing more youth.

Newsflash: Young players aren't perfect. They are inconsistent and need to improve. Jesus is better than and has bigger potential than any other number 9 his age or younger. Facts.

Weirdly they’re also the ones who stick up for their favourite players if they have a shit game, often citing them just needing to get up to speed or words to that effect.

Fouled on the first 'sitter'.
Yep, the shithouse tactic of barging someone's legs while they're in the air trying to get a head on the ball. It's potentially the most dangerous challenge in the sport and without any intent to win the ball legally yet goes completely unpunished 90% of the time and seemingly will until someone winds up breaking their neck and dying on the field of play.

I've always found it odd that it's not considered serious foul play. In Rugby Union it's an automatic yellow card to play the man when he's in the air ffs.
