Totally agree. Vast distances covered in no time at all. The North is 1200 miles from the Twins to the wall with Winterfell 500 mile's from the wall and 700 miles from the Twins. Dragonstone is south of the Vale and another 800 miles further on. We're talking a distance from Ireland to the Urals here. So Ravens would have taken days to get there and The Dragons days to get back and rescue them.

Burn it? Scorpion with a dragonglass arrows? Got to say I was surprised the north hadn't built it's own AA batteries, bearing in mind how successful Bron was.

I seem to vaguely recall the writers commenting on this, saying that either they compact time on the distances, or you have a lot of episodes with people doing nothing but wait.

I like the way everyone has just ignored your post and gone for intricate plot discussion and predictions as though the shaggand nudity was never a thing for them. Haven't seen episode 2 yet but there was a bit of nudity in episode 1. Last series seemed to be very little. I believe Arya is nude in episode 2 which having seen her grow up on the show feels a bit wrong somehow
