Garcia and his fans from last season

Not trying to be a dick or anything but, what is the purpose of starting a thread slagging off City players? I just don't get it. Why not wait until he's gone before having a go?

I'm not slagging him off on here, I can see he tries his hardest. I'm having a go at the Garcia lovers from last year that slagged me off and told me how great he'll be once he'd adapted to our game. I'm just asking any of those fans who they'd like to see him take the place of as far as game time is concerned? Shall we leave Fern out, for a few games here and there so Garcia can get his act together, or maybe a fit Rodwell should be left on the bench while Garcia learns the British style? Maybe Milner, more often than not was MOM when he got his chances last season! How about taking the place of Yaya, would that be ok?

Last season Garcia had city fans split 2 ways. Half thought he was too slow and not very good, and half thought he'd improve in his second season and become a great asset to the club once he'd "adjusted" to the prem.

I was wondering who the "Garcia fans" would like him to get game time in front of? Yaya/Fern/Milner/Rodwell/Silva/Navas/Nasri?

I wouldn't choose him in front of any of those players!

You sound like an 12yr old who wants a fight on the local park.

-- Fri Aug 23, 2013 1:36 am --

Funnily enough when I think of the way Garcia plays, 12 year old's on the local park comes to mind. "freudian slip" also comes to mind!

All 6 of them huh?

Since we're on the topic, I do think Garcia is improving. I think he just had some jitters in his first season and people jumped on him. His ability to play as a CB will be clutch, especially if the injuries to Kompany + Nasty keep them out for longer than expected, or are nagging reoccurring injuries. I also think the addition of his countrymen Lil' J and Big Al (Navas+Negredo) will help him feel more comfortable and at ease off the pitch. And his aerial game is very much underrated

If you were an opposing manager, would you like to see Garcia at the back for us? I'm no brain scientist but how would you get past/through him? Personally I'd probably put someone on his shoulder and pass it passed him.

Oh so you're just looking for an argument?

Cool. Have fun.

-- Fri Aug 23, 2013 5:41 am --

Dafuq is a brain scientist?
I think he mixed up brain surgeon and rocket scientist, both of which people use and also proving his point.

On Monday night he actually showed a turn of pace (!!!) to get back and make a tackle. This one piece of defending already means that he has made a huge improvement on last year. For the first time I had a bit of hope that he could make a contribution to the first team rather than being a liability. Did anybody else spot this or did I imagine it?
