Gareth Bale

If City were willing to pay £24million for Milner then the price for Bale would be double that at least.

Who are you kidding? I think it's agreed that City paid too much for Milner at that point of time..
If City were now willing to pay so much money, you can be sure we would have got Hazard before Bale, whatever his agent's demands may have been..

Here's a stat that shows quite clearly he isn't overrated, just that Spurs don't have enough high quality players Bale perhaps deserves to play with.

"Gareth Bale - Laid on 16 'clear-cut' goalscoring chances for teammates last season - the second most of all players in the Premier League"

Would have been a top signing for us especially in those games against stubborn teams but we move on and there ARE good alternatives for the wings out there.

Can't see things improving much for him at Spurs though - they'll never adequately replace Modric, Van Der Vart and Adebayor.

Maybe he is happy to be top dog in a mediocre team

Name them?

Not having a dig ROBBO,but please do name some alternatives with his proven quality and further potential because i can't think of many....

Come on mate, that logic is poor!

If Andy Carroll costs 35m...............

You won't get more than 30m for Bale when he does eventually leave, and you should've taken the massive money for Modric last year too, he's worth no more than 25m. Quality player mind you but players of his ilk have their limits.

He signs an extension, means Spuds get a lot more for him then if and when sold, anyways it means nothing.Remember Hamann signing for Bolton for all of 3 seconds.

If Spurs were willing to pay £16 million for Bentley, then City would want double that for Ade.
