Gareth Bale

Why would Modric agree to go back to Spurs one year after forcing a move to RM?

He would n't it is just more bullshit after the Di Maria, Coentrao stuff was been ruled out. Reak won't sell any players they want so they won't be selling Modric to spurs or utd.

The champions league thing is another red herring because of the 4 players we signed this summer only one has CL football and that was Shakhtar in the Ukraine, if a top 6-7 club want you, you would probably ignore the fact you could play CL for a team outside of the major leagues with no real chance of winning it. Two players I have already suggested would fit in at spurs would be Luis Muriel and Hernanes, neither at CL clubs and neither would command high wages and astronomical fees.

125 million!!!

Is Levy taking the piss here. Fuck sake he is good but not that good.

Yes he is taking the piss. Quite deliberately. He doesn't want to sell, therefore can ask what ever fee he wishes to. Real Madrid being Real Madrid won't want to lose face and therefore will pay well over the odds.

Whatever people say about Levy, he knows what he's doing and is one of the best chairmen in football.

Can Real Madrid make FFP targets if this happens for £85m considering their other spending while they're supposedly still in for other big name players also?
Considering RM have the largest revenues in world football, they shouldn't have too much trouble with FFP. They would also quite likely make a large chunk back straight away through shirt sales.

besides if their short they can always sell the training ground again 8-}

After thinking this through, Bale should leave Spurs for Real Madrid. If you detach yourself from a fan perspective and you place yourself in his shoes or view it from a neutral perspective, the best player in the EPL shouldn't be playing Europa league football and wasting a year of his prime playing for a team not trying to be the best in the world. If he wants to be the best he has to play with the best and win the best trophies.

He should go to Madrid.

he shouldn't, the world's best players should be in a five horse league like ours not a two horse league like Spain & Germany.

Disagree completely.
City ,Rags and Chelsea should be all over this like a fookin rash.

If we cant keep the best of british talent in the premier league then that is a very sad day.
Instead we just revel in the fact that our premier league rivals are weakened .

I agree that he should go, but I think people are forgetting how quickly this has all happened for him. Their would be so much pressure on him when he gets there,
a €125m deal for a player of his age who has really on had one amazing season is crazy.

If we are gonna put ourselves in his shoes then think of it in this light,
He has had one outstanding season, he is young, he is in a squad full of players that are nowhere near his level. When he goes to Madrid its going to be alot different, you're playing for the biggest club in the world competing for places against the best players in the world, their would alot of expectation from him, I don't think he's ready for a move that big just yet.
