Would be very, very happy if Bale replaced Milner + Jovetic

Add Barkley for Lampard and Schneiderlin for Fernando and we'd be looking very good.

Unfortunately we have not been linked at all with Bale or Schneiderlin

Perfect scenario. Barkley gradually integrated into a deeper midfield role, and a competent winger like Pedro added to give us the option of a 4-3-3 and we'd begin to look like a proper team again.

he has been mostly average

Last season was his most productive at Barca in terms of goals and assists, and while the arrival of Suarez has stifled him this year he's the best available in addition to a star; we are not going to sign Bale and Reus, and are highly unlikely to get both Bale and Sterling either.

Pedro's featured in and won World Cup, European Championship and Champions League finals for some of the best teams football has ever seen. He'd be a great signing for us,still only 27 and probably available for about £20m.
