Gareth Bale

Bale on one side of Aguero. Sterling on the other side. Silva pulling the strings.

We still won't be able to defend, but who cares?

Sounds good to me! I'd get a half decent CDM as well.

With Pogba and Schneiderlin playing behind Silva, we would!!!

In our dreams lads, in our dreams.

Would be very, very happy if Bale replaced Milner + Jovetic

Add Barkley for Lampard and Schneiderlin for Fernando and we'd be looking very good.

Unfortunately we have not been linked at all with Bale or Schneiderlin

Perfect scenario. Barkley gradually integrated into a deeper midfield role, and a competent winger like Pedro added to give us the option of a 4-3-3 and we'd begin to look like a proper team again.

Last season was his most productive at Barca in terms of goals and assists, and while the arrival of Suarez has stifled him this year he's the best available in addition to a star; we are not going to sign Bale and Reus, and are highly unlikely to get both Bale and Sterling either.

Pedro's featured in and won World Cup, European Championship and Champions League finals for some of the best teams football has ever seen. He'd be a great signing for us,still only 27 and probably available for about £20m.

Should be our number 1 transfer target IMO.

Helps our homegrown problems.
Helps our width problems.
Helps our pace problems.
Helps our set piece problems.
Helps our "no plan B when we can't pass it into the net" problems.
Is still young and has proven beyond a doubt he can cut it in this league.
He'll be mentally switched on and looking to prove himself too after a so-so season in Madrid.

It's a no brainer for me - just make it happen.

Since he is Welsh, he should settle in just fine and not always have one eye on moving elsewhere due to language/weather/culture.

I've noticed a few people here questioning his character which confuses me a little. Unless I've really missed something he seems to be one of few upper echelon players who does have their head screwed on and isn't a total tosser. Seems to work hard, prefer the quiet life and dislike being the centre of attention - all positives to me.

Do the people who questioning his character know something that I don't?

I still think this is who the £50 million bid is for.

If Real Madrid were offered €70 million this summer for Bale, I'm almost certain they'd take it.

Bump.
Think he's very attainable this summer, number one target, people should forget about signing Aaron lennons quicker younger brother and get this lad for a meager £20mill more

Absolutely agree with this. He's the answer to so many of our current first team issues.

Wish we would stop licking this guys arse...he will be a rag come the summer.

But not this. We need to do everything we can to stop those cunts getting him, he'd transform us or them into title winners. No-one wants it to be them. Just outbid the debt ridden bastards and pay his agent whatever he asks like Real, Barca, Chelsea, rags do.

I really hope youre right. Pisses all over Sterling.

Idolised Giggs then Ronaldo as a young glory hunting red twat, one of Adidas' main endorsees, who this summer will be taking over as their kit manufacturer. Realistically, what appeal do we have to that will make us choose them over us?

He's not $amir Nasri who we can just throw more money at to ensure his signature; he's a top-level footballer who's already impressive wealth will be enhanced by whatever our rivals can offer him. If not the rags it'll be Chelsea; also Adidas, Premier League champions, London club.

Sterling is more our level of player; potentially elite but requires patience and good guidance to get there, a lot like our club.

That's not an opinion I share or agree with. WE are champions right now, and have been for 2 of the last 3 seasons, and an owner with unlimited ambition and wealth. We can compete with any club when it comes to pulling power.

Plus Bale isn't a Londoner so Chelsea have no advantage. He might have been a rag as a kid, but he's a pro now and he'll go where the best wages and chance of trophies are, as he proved going to Real Madrid.

We really need to get away from this small club mentality. Pretty sure Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon don't see us as inferior in any way to Chelsea or the shit, despite this season.

Fuck off with that mentality

So you agree that he's above our level of player then? Because I'm pretty sure that's the mentality that is being told to fuck off.
