Gareth Bale

he scored 15 goals and ONE assist till now overall. Bale is a great player, but he's not that kind of a team player that we want and i don't think we should put so much money for him. Maybe 30~35 mil for him so that no one gets him on a cheap.

Seriously? I don't think you've been on here long enough for this to be a Clarkie, or maybe you've popped across from somewhere else on the wind up?

i'm just discussing the idea that he will cost alot of money, not if he is a world class player or not. Levy will ask for gazillion money.

We do need a player in the wide areas and i would be delighted if we got him, but i don't want to spend 50mil on one player.
that's what i ment.

It's not just how many goals he's scoring - it's that half of them are wonderstrikes from nowhere to decide games, very much like Messi and Ronaldo even though he's not in the same class.

I can't help but feel we should have gone for him last summer, as I don't think it would be realistic to get him from Tottenham if they qualify for C League. I mean we could, but with his current contract length and Spurs hardline stance on selling players below value, we'd be looking at £50/£55m at which point it would almost feel like a risk. The time to get him was last summer for 30-40m when his stock was lower.

bingo.

I cant help think if he leaves Spurs it will be to replace Ronaldo at Madrid. I think Utd will look to get Ronaldo and Lewandowski to replace Nani and Rooney.
