How do people rate Reus compared to Bale? Both would be played on the left of a 4-3-3 if we're changing our system.

Bale: 36 appearances, 21 goals, 8 assists (directly involved in 29 goals)
Reus: 36 appearances, 16 goals, 11 assists (directly involved in 27 goals)

Bale would probably cost £50million+ for an English club because Levy wouldn't even sell Modric to Chelsea for £40million. Bale is proven in the league and British (homegrown) with good marketing potential.

Reus, if available before 2014 (when a £24million release clause activates), would probably only be gettable with a £30million to £35million bid if Dortmund willing to sell him. He is proven in the Bundesliga and Champions League, and can play left, right, or centre effectively.

On this season's form alone I'd give Bale a slight edge but, if the asking prices are accurate, there isn't close to £20million of talent between them and Reus could represent better value for money (if gettable).

If we're gettin a bit 'Football Manager' about it... I'd have both of them instead of Cavani, Falcao etc. Those two either side of Aguero would be somethin to behold!

It doesn't make it wrong though, the very reason it is an opinion is because it is someones view, not fact.

I'm not saying you're initial opinion about Reus or Bale is right or wrong, but of course opinions can be wrong.

Strange how we're now signing Dortmund's whole team wheras it used to be Napoli's.

Imo, Bale is considerably better than anything playing for Dortmund.

They are a strong TEAM, with good players, as are Bayern. In both cases though it's the workrate & organisation of those teams, plus some decent finishing, which has got them through, not spectacular individual talent.

Bale consistently wins games in the midst of a bunch of complete no marks & actually makes them, & his team, look better than they are, rather than being a cog in a machine like the Dortmund/Bayern players, who are made to look better by the unit around them.

He would be the star in either of those teams.
