Would work with Nasri too.

Something of a front four like...

Silva - Nasri - Bale

---Cavani/Aguero---

And there is still room for other players and/or formations as well. Or perhaps pick up Bale and Benteke instead of Cavani. Many possibilities. Hopefully it plays out for the best.

Whatever you had to say was lost from the moment you had n###i in your team..................NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you're not in charge. Nasri is playing better than Silva at the moment. Whilst he may not be anywhere near Dave when he is in top form, Nasri is still a very very good player. I just hope he can carry this form into next season and destroy the league with Dave and Aguero.

We absolutely need to do everything we possibly can to sign Bale. Would be a huge game changer for us!

Him, Cavani, and a CM and our team would be totally transformed!

Nasri is either good or poor. He never seems to turn in just an adequate performance. If he starts on Saturday then I hope the occasion brings out the best in him. Perhaps he needs hypnotising and persuading that he is making his debut v Spurs.

i have watched bale a few times this season and i am really struggling to see the worrld class player everyone is going on about. He is very good, but not world class. Would love him to play for city as he wold improve our team, but "do everything we possible can" seems way over the top

The thing about Nasri is when he does what he's often supposed to do, ie cycle possession backwards to maintain said possession, some of our fans shit themselves and throw tantrums about his negativity.

Spuds are an exciting team. Yesterday against Chelsea shows their limitations. They can't hold possession. I'm sure someone will come along shortly to point out their one season of success in the CL, but I chalk that up their with Napoli's although Napoli holds possession much, much better. Teams weren't prepared for the frankly suicidal method of Tottenham's style. We saw what happened against a club that was. I doubt they will have the same level of success next season if they make it.

Not sure I get the people who wouldnt have Bale. They are probably the same people who desperately wanted Hazard last year. Bale is a better player than Hazard - no uestion.

They're different players in my opinion and are both excellent at what they do. Honestly having both in the side would be a terrifying prospect for opposing clubs.

I thought we should have gone for Bale years ago. The last two seasons though he has really matured and is a major threat. We've been a bit stuck as we have no natural wingers in the (regularly picked) team. We're very narrow which has it's merits but against some of the (so called - no disrespect) "lesser" teams, width generally helps you get a result. The question is whether Bale would uproot and go oop north. I am fairly certain he'll want CL football and if he doesn't get it at Spuds, he'll move on. Well, that and ENIC won't be able to resist a £50-£60 million bid.... which is a LOT of money....

Think Bale would be the closest we could get to ronaldo.
Exactly.

The way Bale has been playing, I would say he seems to emulate Ronaldo alot. And he has the same technique and power, as well as the height, to do what Ronaldo has did before.

Still remember this lad came from Southampton, as a LEFT BACK.

Manchester City line up summer swoop for Bayern Munich star

Manchester City are readying a £17m bid to bring former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben back to the Premier League.

The Dutchman has been in and out of Bayern's first-team this season and incoming coach Pep Guardiola is reported to be willing to let him go in the summer.
With Mario Gotze set to move to the Allianz Arena at the end of the season, Robben will find it even more difficult to nail down a first-team berth and he could be open to a move to the Etihad Stadium.
City's lack of natural width has been highlighted as one of their main problems this season and Robben would certainly boost them in that area.
And sources in Spain claim that City are on the verge of meeting Bayern's £17m asking price for the ex-Real Madrid wide man.

Sounds like bullshit until you realise he was released against the chili mans wishes at Madrid

Bale's younger than Robben and if Pellegrini can improve him then we'd have one hell off a player.

I think Bale is overrated personally, and don't think he would make us bridge that gap to Europe's elite level.

Robben on the cheap would be a good signing in my view, given there are other areas we need to improve on also.

It's more important that we sign a top quality CM, striker and winger together than it is to blast the budget on 1 player.

I actually think the opposite,in a world class team he would be even better.
At present he carries the majority of the attacking burden on his own,put him in a team with superior players, who are on a similar wavelength, and opposition defenders would have even more to think about, that being the case,i believe he could be devastating.

He is world class.
