Gareth Bale

I would like City to put a £65 million offer on the table for Bale. Even if we are not interested it would set a precedent to Madrid and the Rags that they would have to pay more to sign him. Even though it would help Spurs out it would get one over on United and teach Madrid a lesson for going after our targets.

The flaw in your argument is that Spurs might grab at our offer!

Oh the horror!

Bale wont want to come to City, even if we made an offer. Does anyone remember the shots he took at City in the press? Saying something along the lines that City aren't a big club globally.

Levy will not sell Bale to another English club and will make it very difficult for Real Madrid. I am expecting a saga with Ronaldo where eventually he will sign a new deal.

Yeh, but if you offer him the big cash

No chance we would ever pay that, don't know why people are even thinking it's possible
This.

No reason whatsoever for him to come to us anyway.

He will go to Real, regardless of if Ronaldo is there or not.

We have the wealthiest clubs in world football haggling over 50m for Cavani and it's still plausible that anybody will pay (at least) 80m for Ronaldo? He's even better now than when Madrid got him, so it'd be a miracle if they settled for what they paid to begin with. That United of all clubs would stump that cash up is ludicrous. Bale is also a downgrade on Ronaldo. Maybe when he's 30 and Bale is in his prime it'd make sense.

Some "footy" fans needs to use their brain, when you say why city isn't after x player understand that sometimes its because the player want to go yo anotherplace simple!

Too true, but seems to be a tough concept for so many on here to grasp.

With the sale of Balotelli (yet to be replaced) and maybe Tevez, losing out on Isco and Cavani very expensive there only seems one logical player, Bale.
Stick a firm 50 million bid in (we have 30m from Balo and possibly Tevez). We can push Nasri into a forward position and have Guidetti as our young back up.

Levy won't sell to an English club for less than 70-80m.

I firmly believe he will be a Madrid player, he will be their equivalent of Barcelona signing Neymar.

problem is they'd be overloaded on the wings, with Ronaldo, Di Maria already being there, Bale and Isco mentioned to go there.
Of course tranny is a given starter, but the others will have to adapt to a life with frequent bench minutes.

That won't trouble Madrid, they pretty much work on the idea that players want to play for them even if it means being on the bench most of the season.

Di Maria will be sold in my opinion.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him sold for pennies like when they sold Robben and Sneijder for next to nothing to buy the next big thing.
