I think the issue was that neither Garcia nor Barry are particularly mobile, which sort of defeated the purpose of having the two "holding" players because neither was getting across to cover the full backs quick enough, and in the end neither provided anything resembling a threat to Real in the final third.
Someone said to me last night that made sense to play them both to protect Nastasic, but to my mind it would've made more sense to play one of them + Rodwell, with Lescott. In hindsight you have to wonder whether Vinny's lack of composure was due to having Nastasic on one side and Maicon on the other, neither of whom have played much with him.

No, I'm saying he's one of the first names on the sheet for the manager.
I wouldn't have played him last night as he's not fit.
If fully fit, Hart, Vinny, Yaya & Barry would be Mancini's 1st choices imo. The rest he sees as interchangeable.
